Stomu Yamash'Ta
Stomu Yamash'ta (1947- born Yamashi'ta Tsutomu, Japanese: 山下勉) is a percussionist, keyboardist and composer from Kyoto, Japan. He has played with the Chicago Chamber Orchestra and the rock group Come to The Edge. He studied jazz drumming at Berklee School of Jazz. He has composed for the British Royal Ballet, for the soundtrack of the David Bowie film The Man Who Fell to Earth and for Ken Russell's The Devils. He was a member of the supergroup Go along with Steve Winwood, Al Di Meola, Klaus Schulze, and Michael Shrieve.
